5.1 Parental Involvement and Consent
Where required by applicable law, Spellzee will obtain verifiable parental consent before processing a child's personal data.
We may request information reasonably necessary to establish the identity and authority of a parent or guardian. We will not knowingly rely on a child's own agreement as a substitute where parental consent is legally required.
5.2 Use of Children's Information
Children's information will be used for legitimate educational, administrative, safety, support and other disclosed purposes.
We will not knowingly collect more children's personal information than is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to legal and operational requirements.

6Cookies and Similar Technologies
Spellzee may use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to:
- Operate website functions.
- Maintain preferences or session information.
- Improve website usability and performance.
- Understand how visitors use the website.
- Measure marketing and advertising performance, where enabled.
To pre-select the country code in the phone number field of our booking form, the website uses your device's time zone and an IP-to-country lookup. When you open the booking form, or a few seconds after a page loads, your browser sends a request to an IP lookup service (country.is, with GeoJS as a backup), which sees your IP address and returns only the country it belongs to. The selected country code is kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab.
You can change the country code in the form at any time. Spellzee receives your country only as part of a booking you submit, together with your phone number.
Some cookies may be necessary for core website functionality. Other technologies, particularly those used for optional analytics or advertising, will be managed in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the availability or functionality of some website features.
Third-party analytics or advertising providers may process information under their own applicable privacy policies. Their processing is also subject to any applicable contractual, consent and legal restrictions.
7Sharing and Disclosure of Information
Spellzee does not make personal information available to third parties without a legitimate purpose and appropriate authority.
We may share relevant information with the following categories of recipients:
7.1 Educational and Operational Service Providers
Authorised providers may support functions such as learning management, video classes, scheduling, customer relationship management, email delivery, customer support and platform maintenance.
These providers should receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their assigned functions and should be subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and contractual requirements.
7.2 Payment Providers
Payment processors and financial service providers may receive transaction information needed to process payments, verify transactions or issue refunds.
7.3 Technology, Analytics and Advertising Providers
Where used and lawfully permitted, service providers may process technical or website interaction data to support analytics, platform operations or advertising measurement.
7.4 Professional Advisers
We may share relevant information with professional advisers, auditors, insurers or other authorised representatives where necessary for legitimate business, compliance or legal purposes.
7.5 Legal Authorities
We may disclose information when required by law, a valid legal process or an appropriate authority, or where necessary to protect a person's safety or establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
7.6 Business Transactions
If Spellzee undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
We do not authorise a service provider to use personal information for unrelated purposes merely because that provider receives the information.
8International Transfers
Some third-party technology providers may store or process information on servers located outside India.
Where personal information is transferred across borders, Spellzee will follow the applicable legal requirements and use appropriate safeguards where required.
Parents may contact us for information about the relevant processing arrangements, subject to security, confidentiality and legal restrictions.
9Data Retention
Spellzee retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the category of information:
- Account and enrolment records may be retained while the account or service is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Financial and transaction records may be retained for the periods required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws.
- Support and complaint records may be retained as needed to resolve issues and maintain appropriate business records.
- Session recordings and learning records may be retained according to their disclosed purpose, operational need and applicable retention arrangements.
When information is no longer required, Spellzee will take reasonable steps to delete it or otherwise dispose of it securely, subject to lawful retention requirements and technical limitations.
10Data Security
Spellzee takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.
Depending on the system and the information involved, these measures may include access controls, authentication, restricted permissions, secure transmission, monitoring and internal handling procedures.
No online platform or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, this does not remove Spellzee's responsibility to implement reasonable safeguards and handle incidents in accordance with applicable law. Parents should use secure devices, protect account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Subject to applicable law, parents and other relevant individuals may be entitled to request:
- Information about the personal data processed by Spellzee.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion of personal information where the applicable conditions are met.
- Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.
- Other rights or remedies provided by applicable law.

Please identify the account or record concerned and describe the request. We may request reasonable verification before acting.
We will assess and respond to requests within the time required by applicable law. Certain information may need to be retained where legally required or where another lawful basis applies.
Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide a particular service if the relevant processing is necessary for that service.
12Marketing Communications
Spellzee may send service-related communications such as enrolment confirmations, class reminders, payment receipts, service notices and responses to support requests.
Promotional communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the permissions or preferences that apply.
Where an opt-out mechanism is provided, recipients may use it to stop eligible promotional communications. Essential service, transaction or legal notices may still be sent when necessary.
13Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website or applications may contain links to third-party websites or services.
This Privacy Policy does not automatically govern the privacy practices of those third parties. Parents should review the relevant third-party privacy notice before submitting personal information to them. Spellzee is responsible for its own handling of personal information in accordance with applicable law and does not disclaim responsibilities that legally remain with us.
14Changes to This Privacy Policy
Spellzee may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technologies, legal obligations or data-handling practices.
The updated policy will be published on our website with a revised date. Where a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will take the steps required by applicable law.
The publication of an updated policy will not, by itself, replace a consent or authorisation that is legally required for a new processing purpose.
